I think I've finally broken my Dave's habit.
I'll be back next time I need to know something, and I'll check for private messages now and then, but I think I'm pretty much done.

Why?
We get this now and then Casey's moon.
People give a farewell thread like Dave's was something negative to be part of.
What's so harmful about Dave's that people want to quit like this?
Can't you spare 10 minutes a day to check in and add something? If you want to that is.
Is it a vice like smoking which must be given up? |

I hope for your sake that you've paid all your bills, removed the hair clogged in your drain and cleaned up the feline pee from the furniture in your apartment CM.

Dave's has mostly been great to me, but I spend too much time here, and lately it doesn't hold as much interest for me as my "real life" does.
This isn't so much a goodbye thread as a way for me to make it somewhat official so I (hopefully) won't get sucked back in again. 10 minutes a day-- sure! I'll do that, but once I start posting in threads, I find myself checking for responses, and then notice another interesting thread and post in that, etc. etc. and it is always more than 10 minutes.
Maybe it has been a vice, for me anyway. |

A bit dramatic really to announce your goodbye, I too was spending too much time here (and getting too irritable with anonymous folk), so decided to cut it down, but I like to drop in once in a while, just to see everyone. If I had announced my departure, I wouldn't be able to do that.
I would be too embarrassed to announce my departure anyway, what are people supposed to say exactly? |
