Hi all,

Does anyone know anything about this IBS Institute in Daechi, working conditions, reliability, is it a private or public school, etc...

What's this area like?

Appreciate any feed back you have.

No idea about the school. The area thougbh is as good as they come. Its the most prestigious area in all of Seoul.

So I guess it might be more expensive for food and things in this area?

Or are all areas more or less the same?

Daechi isnt cheap, though you can find cheap places in Daechi. You can pretty much find cheap things everywhere. Overall though, Daechi is pricy.

Well it's getting close to crunch time and I REALLY need some feed back on this school.

It's kind of scaring me that NO ONE has heard of it or knows anything about it????

That shouldn't necessarily scare or surprise you too much. These private hogwons are small businesses and they come and go all the time, I understand that's especially true in Daechidong, a neighborhood which is famous for having a lot of hogwons. If this hogwon is a small hogwon that's only been open for a year or two then it's very likely that your hogwon has only had 3-5 foreign teachers the entire time it's been open. And those 3-5 people might not post on or even read this board.

Have you tried getting the name, phone number, and email address for a current and/or former teacher from the school? That's probably going to be your best source of info.

Also, remember that no matter how hard you research and worry, at the end of the day finding a job on the other side of the world via internet will always be a crapshoot.
