City of Heroes has had my attention for the past few months.

I just ordered Stronghold 2 but we'll have to see if it's any good.

Not played any games for months. Decided to reinstall 'Farcry' today I remember having some good times playing that one.

To be honest I got way to into gaming a while back so decided to knock it on the head for a while, not played a game in about 6 months now. Just downloading the updates for farcry now.

I don't know that there will be much of a community but I guess there might be some interesting mods going on with this game.

Yeah....FarCry was a good game, for sure. I guess if you are going to play one, that's a good choice. It has good replay value, and if you can get through the last 2 or 3 levels on "Realistic", then I salute your gaming skills. (Or at least your tenacity)

Half-life is a good one to, thanks to the modding community. UT2004 has a huge fanbase/modding community as well. Doom 3 is the same.

There are a few games I am waiting for....STALKER looks like a killer, but it's looking like vapourware....long time coming.

Quake 4 will be a knockout....to silence the critics of the limitations of the Doom 3 engine and it's large-scene rendering capabilities. I can't wait for all-out DM with the Doom 3 engine. The "sneak-shock-shoot" thing is fun, but run n' gun with that beauty of an engine will be incredible.

The Unreal "Warfare" engine will be a killer as well.

One game that was a real surprise was "The Chronicles of Riddick". An unknown company made a great little engine (although a bit "waxy" looking) and a fun game with many genres all wrapped up into one package. Stealth, hand-to-hand combat, deathmatch-ish sections, puzzles...it had it all.

The Splinter Cell series has been good too....Chaos Theoryis a blast, although a bit easy. Sam (the main character) is now armed to the teeth...he needn't 'spy' anymore (I haven't used a sticky camera when playing normally), just kill everyone and stash the bodies. There is a large community of "ghosters", of which I am one, that go through the entire game without kiling any characters. With the latest incarnation of Splinter Cell, it's near impossible to do. That's a drag. Thief 3 was good for ghosting.

The last 6 months have been the most exciting for gaming in the last 3 or so years. Hope we don't have to wait that long for the next round of heavyweights to arrive. There are so many really badgames out there.

One thing...I hope the WWII/Vietnam thing has played out. Call of Duty was the exclamation mark at the end of that sentence for me.

I would like to see another TRON game with Unreal Warfare, Source or even Lithotech engines powering it.

Yeah, you can play it here. I bought it from EB games and logged on just fine from over here. It's about $15 a month though Rolling Eyes

WWII-based games aren't dead.

Brothers in Arms.

Very difficult, some really cool new ideas and the squad AI actually is ok.

I have been playing EQ2, but its pretty hard to make a good go of it from here. To be honest it was kinda boring. So I dusted off my old copy of CoH and resubscribed.(canceling my EQ2 subscriptiong). I also like to play Sid Meiers Pirates.
