Frequently my computer's LAN connection comes unplugged (wind, brushing, ghosts, etc), afterwards I get a message saying "limited or no connectivity". The only way to renew my IP address is to use Sys.Restore. |

When the pop-up blob comes up saying tht you have limited or no connectivity, you should be ble to click the bubble and it will start a wizard for correcting the problem.
If you can't do this, the problem should be easily resolved by right clicking your 'local area connection' icon in your system tray (it looks like two little monitors sitting side by side), and clicking 'repair'. This will renew your IP address for you. I believe that restarting or logging out and then in again would have the same affect.
If this process doesn't work then try Thorin's XP patch for non-connective IPs. |
