I highly doubt it's used anywhere anymore anyways, but it was the center of my existence for my very first year here (in a pretty lousy hakwon).

I will die a happy man if I do not see one more talking panda for the rest of my days.

I used the superkids, and what's probably going to shock you, I picked it out myself! I liked it for the purpose it served....but talking panda? makes me wonder if we're talking about the same series of books...I just bought this book a few months ago, and the series was published in Hong Kong.

My worst book series vote goes to Step Up. It's published in Korea, but may have originated in Spain (I'm not clear on it). It's absolutely terrible. It's filled with errors, inconsistent language tasks, ethnic cliches, and really awful listening exercises.

"Expressions" and "Get Real" suck too.

Geared for adults... let's teach the 10-12 year olds with this junk. No CD that you need, no workbook that would make the lesson easier to do, deal with it. You speak English. They will learn by osmosis. Just like we all speak fluent Korean from lving here.

i really liked using get real. the get real starter book was good for the 11 year olds (really easy, yet more mature) and i liked the variety of acitivities.

i really hated the GnB books, too. i only used them one hour a week and i dreaded it.
