What do you think will happen to the value of the won over the next year if NK does a nuclear test next month? |

Well, since foreign investors prop up the KOSPI and play a role in the growth of the Korean economy, it's a pretty safe bet they will pull the plug on investments. Political instability usually leads corporations to postpone plans for expansion, so unemployment rates won't improve. Consumer confidence would probably crumble.
Conclusion: the Won would race the dollar to the bottom of the exchange barrel. |

Good point. Although I doubt the won will crash, I'm gonna change a bit of money now because I'm planning a big trip this summer. Better safe than sorry. |
