I don't have Korean on my computer - what's 'bal'? beeup, the a vowel, and leeul?
What about zeeut,, the a vowel, and neeun? What is that? "Jan?" "Chan?"
Any idea what those words mean?

�� is foot. it's also listed as a counter noun (like �� or ��) for bullets but i don't know anything about that usage.
i dunno what a zeeut is. �� or ��?
�� is cup. i think it's a counter too. like ���� ���� ���� �������� �˾Ҿ�
�� is in the dictionary as 'sidedish' but I always called that stuff ����. but i'm not fluent at all so who knows.
what is the context?

It's in the context of a boat that 's leaving.
The site is all in Korean and lists 4 different departure times during the week.
There's no way the boat leaves four times a week. I was kind of hoping one meant summer, one meant winter, or one meant low season, or high season. Anyway, here's the schedule. Can you make any sense of it?

In this context, �� = departure, �� = arrival. Those are abbreviated forms commonly used on timetables, not much of anywhere else.
So your boat departs at 1 PM Monday and Thursday, and arrives at 7 PM (I don't know if that refers to the same boat, or if the "arrival" is of the boat coming from the other direction). Hope that helps! |

Not looking to muddy the waters here, but isnt your interpretation of the schedule the opposite of how it translates? |

Yes, I think they have it backwards.
It leaves from Incheon Monday at 7 PM and Friday at 12 PM.
Anyway, thanks for the replies that sorted this out. That boat's my Get out of Jail free card. I'm getting paroled in August.  |

Either that or Mungyeong. I think it's the same place. I've talked to one foreigner here in two months, a South American guy from Ecuador. Apparently, I've heard rumors about a 20 year old Australian who's here too.
What part of town are you in? |

Actually the South American is from Uruguay (unless there are two of them....) So you both are living in Jeomchon as well - small world! We have been here two months and have only a couple times seen any non-Koreans, surprising for such a compact town. Would like to pick y'all's brains about this area... |
