Unfortunately, I didn't. I just made an ass out of u and me and figured it was the best thing out there. Like dopes who think Internet Explorer is the bee's knees.
Anyway, with Norton you have a 1 year subscription. Recently I zapped my hard drive and had to reinstall Norton, but of course it didn't work properly, nor would it allow me to download updates. When I contacted the Symantec people, they informed me that I needed to upgrade my software by purchasing Norton 2005 for $59 or some such nonsense. They no longer offer support for Norton 2002, which ran on my computer quite well until I formatted the hard drive.
In any case, I am now in the process of getting a refund for my 1 year subscription (which has become a useless waste of money). Needless to say, Symantec has been less than cooperative about the whole deal. Their tag line:
"Well, you really should just update your software, then you can just renew your subscription when it runs out."
Really!! Gee, thanks! I never would have thought of that! And apparently, you never would have thought that I might not want to renew your TURD OF A PRODUCT at the end of my subscription, d**kheads. |

My sentiments exactly...
I uninstalled Norton a year ago. Actually, it's more accurate to say I've been uninstalling Norton for a year!!!! That program is so invasive and it never really goes away.
I'm much happier with the free AVG. |

yep... been using avast and haven't looked back. The only thing I hate about avast is that it updates at random times and, when it does, this geeky USAnian voice bellows out 'Virus Database has been Updated". Can't find any option to remove this audio notification which can be really irritating if you have a movie on and the sound way up there... |

You could always just download it off Limewire or something.
Considering you've already paid for it it's not really THAT illegal, lol. |

I didn't have much luck with AVG. It wasn't able to delete any viruses only quarentene them. After that many of the programs on the computer wouldn't work. |

I love AVAST! It is really a great "free" program. I'm very very happy with it, and it is nowhere near as invasive as Norton! |
