Found this interesting bit on slashdot for you gamers out there.

http://www.pointlesswasteoftime.com/games/manifesto.html

"The top 20 things you always knew were wrong about games, but were afraid to talk about, since you thought that was just the way is was."

Good article. I don't play console games but I'd say I feel strongly about at least 18 or so of those for pc games.

Thanks jay-shi! A very humorous article and some good points that apply across the board to games.

The first line is great: (in reference to the AI; flying, burning skulls in Doom3)

"Look at the little guy. The one on the left. The one who's just a head.....
I mean, let's face it: strategy is all that guy's got going for him. He has no limbs and he's already on fire. "

Interesting the part where they atalked about real money being used to buy better in game 'items', but then dismiss that as unlikely.

But doesn't that happen here in Korea, especially with Lineage?
unless what I've been hearing is urban myth, I though people were buying and selling the best items, and I heard another story about a guy that 'betrayed' his teammates to let another team win and they gave him cash, but then his teammates traced him to a PC Room and killed him....
Possibly not true of course.

It happens in a lot of places, Star Wars: Galaxies funded me throughout my university days, my final profit was about 2000 quid (so 3.8mill won roughly) I know people who hitting lineage 2 early and playing a VERY famous name on SW:G made 16,000 quid in one year.
