I know what Walmart stores are like in the United States. At my local Walmart pharmacy I pick up my prescription medication. I was wondering if anyone out there has visited a Walmart? Did the Walmart you visited have a pharmacy inside it? |

I visited the Walmart just south of Seoul near where highway 1 meets highway 50 - and was sorely disappointed. Wasn't even as good as my local E-Mart. It was big, but was filled with junk. Kind of an older worn-out type place. Even the foreign foods section seemed a bit skimpy (though better than E-Mart).
I never saw a pharmacy section there - or never found it - though I did look.
CostCo is a much better deal - and Hannam Supermarket.
Just my opinion - again no data or statistics to support my position . . . |

The Wal-Mart in Masan has a pharmacy.
If you are worried about finding a pharmacy, stop. There are probably more pharmacies than PC bahngs. They are everywhere. Many pharmacists speak English, in my experience. But don't expect to find birthday cards and barbeque grills at the pharmacy. |

In Korea there are pharmacies EVERYWHERE!!!!!
It is because Koreans must be some of the biggesy hypercondriacts on this planet......
Per square kilometre there must be 5 pharmacies in the bigger cities. |

Are you hoping they can just transfer your prescriptions? It would seem unlikely, since not all the same brands are available here as in the west.
If health is a major concern for you, I'd ask your doctor for a copy of your files and work in biggish city. |

Health concerns are not a big issue for me. I think it would be much easier if a place like Walmart in Masan could ship my medications to me while I work in Seoul. Currently I take ativan for Insomnia. |

I don't think Korean pharmacies will ship across country- even if they are in wal mart. Besides there's a pharmacy practically every ten feet here. A ten minute walk from my house will take me past at least five, and I live in a small town. |
