Japan's got surf. I think Japan actually blocks Korea from getting any, it grabs up any waves Korea would otherwise get. These swells build up and up over thousands of miles of Pacific and hit Japan like a freight train, leaving korea with nothing, but absolutely nothing, in the way of rideable waves. |

I saw some people trying to surf on jejudo a few weeks back, pretty silly really.
The waves were tiny little things and it was a rare thing when someone was able to stand up for more than 2 or 3 seconds. If you're into surfing save your money and go to Bali or Sumatra, the surfing in Korea is worse than the UK.
If there is a big typhoon hit Korea in the summer then there will be some big waves but it would be very, very dangerous to surf in those conditions. |

I totally agree with 'keithinkorea', there is absolutely nothing around here, ( sorry to dissapoint you) believe me I've tried. I ended up going to indonesia during one of my holidays, to catch some waves. |

I've only been to busan twice.
Once it was flat.
Once it was waist to shoulder high.
It was definitely "surfable".
but that is not really to disagree with those that say Korea is not a place worthy of dragging a board around. |
