If this thread takes off, I'll be back later with a poll to choose the best of the invented words. I'll get things rolling with...

gut mice

(n.) The feeling one might have in one's stomach the morning/day after a night of heavy drinking, esp. when vomiting is involved. "I've got a bad case of gut mice today, I was out with the boys and didn't get home until 5 AM".

Also, sucking for gut mice

(phrasal verb) The act of drinking heavily, esp. when resulting in vomitous hangovers. "No, I don't think I'm going to be able to meet you for lunch, I was out sucking for gut mice last night..."

(----- Actually, there is a story which explains the origins of "gut mice", but I'm not allowed to go into it... -----)

Malanoia: (prefix mal- meaning "bad, badly, ill," from Fr., from O.Fr. mal "evil, ill, wrong, wrongly," from L. male (adv.) "badly," or malus (adj.) "bad, evil" (fem. mala, neut. malum), of unknown origin, perhaps related to Avestan mairiia "treacherous", and from Gk. noos: "mind")

The fear that someone, somewhere, is thinking something bad about you...

Strapadictomy (noun) :the procedure commonly undertaken when a woman finally discovers what men have known all along. It's better to '**beep**' than to be '*fucked*'. The process is a surgery more of the spirit than of the flesh.

As invented elsewhere, Ajummada - collective noun for the most intimidating and yet hilarious groups of human beings to be found on this wonderful planet.

Edited to give Kermo the credit that's due.
