Thanks for the input guys.

How does one go about embedding blog software onto a regular website? Is this easy to do? I don't want to have the link directed to another site.

You are probably looking at frames but I must say that frames are so 1995 and ugly. You should have your blog on a seperate page. If it is important to have a seamless feel then I would suggest making a header file that you include on all pages via php or shtml

Well I would argue against tables as well. A good site seperates content from layout using CSS.
