What do you guys think?
I just read on a recruiter website that September is the worst time to find a teaching job in Korea. In my opinion, you can find a job at almost any time of year in Korea.
I was planning to look for a job starting in September and am a bit worried now. |

Check out the Jobs page here and also try
www.eslteachersboard.com
they vary from job to job, but there are more benefits, (holidays) going with a publis school. |

| I get 2.2 at my public school, that's not bad. And 4-5 weeks of vacation. |

If you have experience, a BEd, teacher certification or a masters you make 2.3, the two weeks vacation is 14 days..not 10 like hogwans...but you also have to be at the school for 40 hours a week....but you only teach 22 forty minute classes(at least in elementary school)....
Public schools are better than hogwans...safe pay...better conditions overall...but there is a downside as well. |

No I have a hogwan job, but I looked into public schools before I came over, I dont have B.Ed and this is only my second year teaching.
I did teach at a public school in China, and I got bucket loads of holidays, like three to four months of the year.
A public school is harder to get for a Kiwi/Aussie, we stand a better chance of applying in country. |
