I have heard some stories that you have to pack toliet paper around with you every where you go in South Korea.........
|
You were forewarned...now you will just have to use the bare hand or use your tighty whities and go home commando.
In the future listen to the people who gave you the good advice about TP.
And don't go around editing your posts like that...some people get a little offended... |

Little tissue packets are available everywhere and should be carried at all times. I ran out last night and had to buy some in Family Mart before heading up three flights to the squater, which last night not only had no T.P., but the water was off also. Good to have those handy little hand cleaners, also. |

u can buy a huge thing of tissue everywhere...
tp is there, it's hit or miss.
and if u need to make a huge turd, then...poo in the tissue and throw it in the trash, cuz that thing won't be going down the toilet at all... |

You don't have to carry rolls of tissue papaer arounnd...
You can get little wallet sized packs everywhere....
Trust me, this is going to be right down the bottom of potential problems you may have |

This is why I avoid public restrooms at all costs. Hell, I'm pretty apprehensive about using my own damn bathroom.

In ESL school there was a well-travelled dude who told us, "You can judge the level of cultural achievement of a country by the quality of their toilet paper."
It turned out that he was pretty much right. |

There is toilet paper in all the washrooms in Korea...the lack of toilet paper myth is exactly that...a myth.
Koreans just dont keep in on a roll in some bathrooms its kept neatly folded ready for use in a pail beside the toilet
of course thats already been used TP...so if you want clean TP bring your own. |

I never had a problem in Seoul with finding a stocked washroom nearby, but it depends on the place you're going to.
As for for when I lived in Kyungsangnamdo, I had to carry every day. Only the rarest of places had TP. |

Man, I hate those squat-o-matics! I've been here 3 years and never been forced to use one to go number 2 yet. I mean, the logistics freak me out - what where do you put your pants so they don't get, uh, soiled?
Those things are just nasty.
I remember being in the departure lounge on a transfer in Malaysia and I paid $25 just so I could use a sit-down toilet in the corporate lounge.
I guess I like my home comforts |

Just make sure you take your wallet out of your back pocket first, just in case. |
