Hello All,
This is my first post on Dave's, please help me out. I used a recruiter my first year and it was a disaster. But I was hoping to give them another chance. Anyone familiar with edorange. If so please let me know...

| I worked with Stephen Cho of EdOrange for a job and found everything to be quite good. Finding a reputable school was easy and the process was quick. Very professional and no problems in my dealing with the company. |

Well, this agency had once offered me "one of the best jobs in Seoul".
There were only 8 classes a day and the apartment was located 40
minutes away by subway. You can't beat that !  |

| Stephen Cho epitomises everything that is wrong with Korean recruiters. You apply for one job and when you meet for the interview he goes off on tangents about other jobs miles away and how 'much better' those jobs are. He will then make inance comments about how handsome you are and maybe you are too 'young' to teach middle school. Two people I know were shafted by this guy, so at least all I got was an inane rant from the guy. Avoid. |

Exactly.
He advertises top jobs but places teachers in lowly hagwon positions after they arrive.
I know for sure he lied to two guys I worked with last year. |

He was offering fake jobs? Probably trying to attract people. I think if the job is too good then there is no point going for it as it's probably a fake. |

He told a 45-ish year old guy that he would be teaching top-flight middle and high school kids in CIE bundang. Turns out he placed this guy in the CIE Migeum branch that does elementary kids. This older guy did not like the fact he was in window-less rooms with unruly 10 year olds.
Actually, he did the same thing to me. Although I didn't mind at all teaching elementary. I prefer it.
His advertisement describes just one branch of CIE Bundang. The 'flagship' campus which teaches middle and high school kids. The other 3 branches of CIE are standard elementary hagwons. |

I worked with Stephen Cho and he seemed to be a good recruiter. He found me a good job and I spoke with teachers at the school who verified the conditions of the position. I ended up taking a different position that suited me better, but there was nothing wrong with the placement he found me.

Hello All,
Thanks for the input. It seems as though there are some negatives with this guy. He did call me today, nothing special, just the basic questions. I am little concerned about the negative replies. I am in Korea now, but am going on vacaction for 2 months. I'll be back home, so I think I'll need a recruiter, anyone have any ideas, EWC, ETEC, RBI. Thanks again.
