Looking for some feedback regarding Adventure Korea Tours? I came across their website (Thank you Swiss James) and was hoping members of this message board could offer some feedback regarding the reputation of the company and the quality of the tours they offer. Seems like a great and easily accessible way to see Korea outside of Seoul.
Thanks |

I've been on a rafting trip and a DMZ trip with them.
They feel rather like a Korean package tour - with all the crowds, buses, and noise - except that they're full of westerners (and a few Koreans). It's not my style of traveling, but you can meet a lot of new people if that's what you want. Don't count on getting any peace, quiet or serenity. |

Their trips are pretty good ( I must admit to being a friend of the owner though) and are an easy introduction to Korea. Its also a nice way to meet new people if you are lacking friends here. They are not for everyone, but I have been happy with the couple I have been on. Try them for yourself. |

If you read Korean and prepare a little for your trip, you can do the same things, more pleasantly without the group. However, in general it will take you a bit more time (because of public transport waits between bus and train etc) and a bit more money. I'd rather do it on my own and spend the money, besides, the DMZ is i think the only trip they do I haven't done already. |
