thinking of this fact today. I have a brutal east facing window that the morning sun shines through making ye' old officetel quite hot in the mornings when I enjoy sleeping. Since late April this situation has been getting progressively worse. About 10 days ago it became so bad, the air con was turned on, with the room temperature reading 32. But the last few days it has been blessfully cloudy in the mornings and made for the thought that the rainy season was here.

Perhaps an investment in a new window treatment is in order.

NEVER plan anything outdoors for August, unless it involves swimming. I learned that the hard way. Mad

2 months of sweltering humidity...the heat is fine, not bad the humidity is the killer....

Rainy season to start next week
"Jangma" or the long summer rainy spell is expected to start around June 27 or 28, delayed because of premature hot weather, the Korea Meteorological Administration said.

I awoke to the pleasant sound of rain this morning. I think it has started.

And it lasts from the middle of June to middle of July, at least it did the last few years.

This year it's starting late. Let's hope it doesn't end late!

I've got a vacation coming at the end of July and it has been ten days of beautiful blue skies the last two summers.

Like I've said before: Korea's summer is distinct, yeah, if you describe it as RAIN-SUN-STORM; it's basically three subseasons in one.

do the students drop off a lot during the rains?

July is apparently the busiest time of month for uni students, but will the enthuasism endure?

Shouldn't that say "increasing"?

Also in that article,
Quote:
Slight hypothermia is also a danger along the east coast for a short time early next month, as cool, moisturized and highly dense air mass coming from the Sea of Okhotsk expands.

I am sure a lot of people on the east coast are holding their breath for this one. Don't believe it thought.

Also,

That was last wednesday that were talking about. Yeah the front came up, but it didn't drop any rain.
