Currently a toshiba laptop, 2.something Ghz 512mb etc etc. And I love it to bits. It's my fifth laptop in 10 years (Toshiba, Compaq, Dell, HP, Toshiba). I don't know why people slag tosh off, my two have been top of the pile. I wouldn't buy anything else. Everyone I know who has one (about 9 people) say the same. Though my Dell was a very close second. Better yet mines got a year int warrenty, how many electrical manufacturers have 3 years worth of faith in their products? Not many.
Previous to my one year Korean break from 'normal' life I had the laptop and a desktop:
Dual Xeon (two of the older chips, second had - got them cheap)
2Gb RAM
1 x main HD 80 Gb
3 X RAID JBOD - total 240 Gb
32 mb VGA graphics
Reason for this setup - Computer Forensics work, which is often very processor intensive. |

Now that I have everything up and running, here's a pic.
The old machine on the right has a wireless mouse and keyboard so that I can use it while sitting in front of the new computer. |

Beav, your room looks like that, and you're still married? I'd have to think your wife would be jealous of all the attention you give your electronics. |

I'm not married. If I was married do you think I could have a room like that? |

Really? I could swear I read you were married. Maybe I was thinking about someone else. |

Definitely. Despite all the peer pressure from my fallen brethern I have so far managed to just say 'no.'
7.5 years with this girlfriend, but no ring in sight. |
