I personally don't know of any girls back home who have been flashed (then again i never really asked). I've heard a few stories, but not that many. But Out of the 6 or so girls who I have asked here only one hasn't seen a flasher. Judging by the numerous stories I've heard it safe to say that flashing happens much more often than it does at home.

Totally agree. In Korea for 15 months, flashed twice. 28 years in the UK, not flashed once.

Asked the girlfriend tonight. She said she's seen it twice, but figures that because she went to a co-ed school it wasn't a high flash area.

Should have made myself clearer, ran out of time before... I just don't think perverts are that far from the rest of us, and perhaps more to be pitied in their lack of control of their sexual behavior than anything.

There's a serial pervert who lurks around the women's bathroom at the Starbucks at Seohyun Station. I've had a couple of run ins with him, and while I'd like to just punch him in the face, I'm pretty sure that since he's older and a lot shorter than me I'd probably wind up being the evil foreign woman who assaulted a poor old man. Evil or Very Mad

Warning about the perverts in Bundang...

One of them sexually assaulted one of my students when she was in Middle school. She was on a bench along a path near home, and this college-aged flasher started groping her. She just froze there and took it -- having no idea what to do. Luckily, an ajumma walked by and shouted, and he ran off. She said that if it had been any longer, she would have been raped. She has seen the same guy walking in Seohyun with his girlfriend, and also seen him flashing in Jung-ang park. Why she didn't turn him in... pure embarrasment, I guess.

There is also a flasher that lurks on the mountain behind our school. He is most active in the spring on days when it warms up. Oh, how I'd love to run this guy down and humiliate him.

Yet another flasher -- a middle-aged man -- lurks near the smaller bus stops in the Yatap area.

For those of you who haven't seen it, my students did a story on the "flasher" behind our school last year. Click here: http://www.seoulstream.com/images/ydnfinal.wmv

If clicking on that link above doesn't work, try right-clicking and saving it to your hard-drive, then viewing it. For some reason, the newest update of Media Player ain't working for me as it used to.

And to the OP: You must be attractive, and/or showing a lot of bare shoulders. That sort of freaks some K-guys out.

Thanks... have been trying to do a new one this year, but it's next to impossible to get time with the girls to finish. They're soooooo busy! Last year's was a part of a class project. This year I'm trying to do it outside of class, but with little success.

The wonders of editing.

Actually, the girls in that weren't among the best of my English speakers, although the anchor girl was chosen because she's so outgoing. I knew she wouldn't be afraid to do that.

It's brillant Derrek. A great way for them to pratice English. Before I think that you said that the school got a load of equipment costing x amount of won. My question is it filming equipment? Smile

No, I did that entirely with my mini-DV home video camera, adobe premiere, and a lot of personal time. Regular garden-variety Pentium 2.4 processor and 7200 RPM HD in my computer with firewire card.

All my equipment.

i must say, my whole image of Derrek has changed. he's suddenly become a dedicated and hard-working, effective teacher in my eyes. I'll never read another one of his posts the same way again.
