I waited all day for my new aircon to be delivered. Now the guy says he made a mistake and can't deliver it until Wednesday. I hope I don't make a mistake and kill him.

Yeah, it's pretty bad, but nowhere near as miserable/hot as inland valley Southern California can get. I'm looking forward to going there in August. Crying or Very sad

My husband and I live in a 11 pyeong size apartment...no breeze. We've been a little more beeeatchy towards each other because of the temperature. Thank god it's raining now.

What heat? Today was pleasant in these parts, warm and windy.

Any sweating done was due to the humidity! not the heat.

I don't mind warm and humid days, especially with a breeze.

But come August, and the days immediately following a typhoon system, it'll a torturous hot AND humid, in the thirties and dripping wet.

That's when I go to the beach each and every day, some evenings too. The ocean is not at all cold at that time of year, not around here, not to me.

I think Canadians, particularly arid prairie dwellers, are more susceptible to this sort of weather. I get just soggy in no time at all. I just can't get used to sweating like a Pokari.
I come home from school (I often teach in classrooms on the 5th floor, crowded with 40 kids) and immediately strip off my clothes. I find a cool shower is often in order. Ding! The A/C goes on, and I spend the rest of the evening contentedly cool.

Oh, how I miss those arid prairies right now. I think I could stand a few more degrees if there humidity weren't so high.
I have never sweat this much before in my life, not even when I was living in Corpus Christi.
There's no escape except at school. My gym doesn't have air conditioning either. Now, that's brutal.

Save me Jeebus!

Would your rather it snow?

YES.

Without question I like winter better than summer in Korea. In fact, I'd even trade this weather for an Alaskan winter any day.

Of course, while I'm dreaming, I'll trade this for an Alaskan summer... 20 degrees (25 max... C... ) and BONE DRY. Ahhhhhh.

Thank goodness for my aircon. I love my aircon. It's my favorite thing in the whole world right now, and will be until I get my electricity bill in a couple of weeks. Confused

Yes, I could handle some snow.

You know what I miss? White people saying a/c and cell/cellphone. I don't get it. After 5 LONG years, I still absolutely refuse to speak konglish. If a student doesn't understand when I say a/c, I teach them that it is what we call that thing on the wall blowing cold air at us. Don't say aircon in my class.

I'm not saying it's you, or even most women, but I bet that sentiment often has something to do with the fact that a woman has to re-apply make-up a lot more often in the hot weather, especially when it's humid.

I think freakin''s proclivity for appearing here would become drastically reduced were the swear filter obolished.
