Over the years I have grown fonder and fonder of the colour pink. When I lived in French West Africa this built up even more as many of the local males prefered pinks, yellows, blues and other bright clothes to wear. Recently I have begun to wonder...is it ok for a modern male (who is NOT BTW 'metrosexual') to wear pink.

Nope. A guy I used to work with told my students that it takes a "real" man to wear pink. I'm pretty sure that his g/f made him wear pink, so he was trying to rationalize. Yet, I could be wrong...

yeah you can wear it, if you go shopping in Australia at the moment they have really cool shirts that happen to pink, if you are thinking about the gordy crap they wear here then thats a different story, but if you wear good quality stylish clothes then theres nothing wrong with pink.

I thought the whole issue with pink and men's clothing was decided in the eighties with the first running of what now is in re-runs in South Korea: Miami Vice.

It's just a colour.

A pink golf shirt with a summer tan.
or
A dress shirt with a complementary coloured suit.

Why not?

There is a vast difference between a guy who would willfully choose to wear a pink shirt and one who does so to appease his girlfriend.

When I'm scoping out a guy, I'm more interested in his arms, hands, face, eyes, smile, etc.....I'v seen some hotties in pink shirts. I'm a fashion victim myself, so I'm in no place to judge a guy based on a pink shirt...nothing wrong with it.

Isn't this about the third thread on the topic of pink?

Methinks some people are obsessing just a wee bit much on it. Maybe feeling a tingle where they shouldn't when they shouldn't.

So long as a guy doesn't play roleplaying games it's ok to wear pink.

That's what I've heard, anyway.
