Thanks, I was able to glean a bit of info from their site. Looks like it will start 10 am sunday Korea time.

I'm wary of AOL -- looks like a commercial sinkhole that will require their plug-ins. MTV is said to be carrying it -- I wonder if that would extend to Korea?

Theyre anticipating 2 billion viewers -- I'm surprised access instructions arent a bit more transparent on the internet.

Or maybe I'm not. Live Aid 20 years ago seemed to fall together at the last minute too with live transcontinental tv & fm simulcast. That event held some electrifying moments.

Something magical seems to happen when you get such a sizable chunk of humanity focused simultaneously on the same live event.

Any of you other 30-somethings feeling a bit nostalgic with all this? I remember watching the entire live aid on TV in 1985, and having a feeling of it all being so special ( mind you, I was a 15 year old girl, and a major durannie with wannabe goth pretensions - all of this in the cultural mecca that is Corner Brook, Newfoundland lol). So, tomorrow, I'm going to brave AOL, and tune in to as much as I can. Anyone else feeling nostalgic?

Anybody know when pink floyd will be on?

Tip: When you've got the video up and running on the aol site (http://music.channel.aol.com/live_8_concert/home) right click the video and select "Properties". Copy the location URL and open it in Media Player or Real Player. Now you can watch it in full-screen mode and sit back comfortably!

Now, see, Smee, you had to go and taint a nice bout of nostaligia Very Happy

In all seriousness, although you are absolutely correct, live aid was "consciousness raising" for this little newfie girl from the 80's who wasn't exposed to a whole heck of a lot of it at that time. That's part of why I remember it so clearly

Thanks aled, for the tip
