i've got company coming tomorrow from jeju, where they can't get any good american food... i'm expected to find them a mindblowingly spectacular american breakfast--pancakes, omelettes, that kind of thing. anyone know of a place in seoul--itaewon or otherwise?
thanks,

In Itaewon
Go to the USO club
Probably one of the best kept secrets in Seoul...real bacon, real hamburgers, excellent quality and it is open to everyone and anyone.
Prices are reasonable too.
Their weekend brunch is kickass! |

USO's great but not open on the weekend.
Suji's Place in Itaewon has a very good bacon omlette or sausage gravy and biscuits, but it's a little pricy.
I've heard the Canadian place (don't know the name, sorry) up the street from the fire station has breakfast, too, but I've never eaten there. |

the canadian place is called rocky mountain, and i had the breakfast there once. nothing to scream at, but not bad. i seem to remember it was 8000 won or thereabouts. it's served until 3pm too. i'm sure the uso is probably better (haven't been there myself), but yeah, i think it's closed on weekends, not 100% sure on that though. |

What are the directions to the USO club? What subway stop would I need to get off at? |

THe closest stations to the USO are Samkakji and Namyung (near Sookymung University). From Samkakji, you want to walk north towards Seoul Station.... the USO will be on your left. Namyung station is on the other side of the USO, so just do the opposite if you're coming from there.
I went there for the second time just the other week... the bacon cheeseburger was excellent.
