Canada's most notorious female inmate was secretly spirited from prison on Monday after serving 12 years for the rapes, torture and murders of three teenage girls, including her younger sister.

Yeah I read about that in the iht paper. Years ago I read a book about Paul Bernardo and her. She was bad, but he was even sicker. She just went along with his crazy actions and tried to cover up their deeds. |

She asked the judge for protection against the media. It seems she didn't want anyone hunting her down and killing her.
It wasn't granted. |

Karla was never tried for the murder and rape of her sister. Nor was Paul. No one has ever been brought to justice for that crime. It's just a known fact that it's occured and who committed the crime because of those video tapes.
Karla got the deal of the century and a great tragedy occurred that day because the police were too much ina hurry to get Paul. All they had to do was wait a little bit and use the tapes and put both of those monsters behind bars.
This is a case I've been following for years because at the time of Leslie and Kristen's abductions I was the same age. I remember the case well enough and have followed it since in a bizzare kind of way.
And to think this woman now has a BA in Psychology. Now she can come to Korea and teach |

Yes, Karla could be freaky waygook #1 if she came to Korea land.
Can you get a passport with a criminal record?
Also, Karla's a Psych major huh??? ... talk about confirming every negative steryotype of Psych majors out there...
Now all she needs is to own a horse and become a "horse person" and she could easily qualify for Flakey Woman of the year! |

she got her pych degree while in jail. that's right kids, well we paid for her to sit on her ass and do nothing. i guess she got her degree which is better than doing zip, but really, she raped and murdered several girls and she's out in 12 years? that's ridiculous. i think she should be tried for her sister's murder.
does anyone know if they ever did destroy all the tapes? |

No they have not destroyed the tapes, and nor should they. They're are compelling pieces of evidence and as such should remain sealed and locked up for further investigation if need be. I remember about 8 years ago someone tried to get me to sign a petition to have the tapes burned. I didn't sign it. No way would I want those burned. What happens if Paul, go forbid, decides to appeal his conviction? No, I want the tapes to still be there incase! |

Homolka, jailed in 1993 for her role in the deaths of Ontario schoolgirls Kristen French and Leslie Mahaffy, as well as the drug-rape death in 1990 of her 15-year-old sister Tammy, was still in custody late Sunday afternoon, said Correctional Service Canada spokeswoman Michele Pilon-Santilli.
According to the reports here, her sisters death was included in her sentence. |

I stand corrected....yes they both recieved sentances for her death but Karla's was just an "add" on to her 10 year. She recieved 5 years each for Kristen and Leslie...and only 2 for her sister. |

This guy had a website up. The idea was to place bets on how long she would live before someone killed her. However, if you placed a bet, you were supposed to not kill her yourself as that would be cheating.

Anti-death penalty people bought the URL. |
