Given the same contract, same pay, same everything. Is it better to be kicked in the head over a 12 month period or to teach English in Seoul?

I've worked in the relative countryside for 3.5 years and I love it...

Be it it is in a city of 500 000 that has the 2nd highest per capita income in the country(after Seoul) but the lifestyle is much better here than in Seoul....I wouldn't work anywhere else in Korea...

Uh, I guess that'd have to be a swift kick to the head, because...

You can make whatever of it you want. I guess if the kicking was severe/often enough to cause permanent spinal damage or concussion, I would choose ESL teaching in Seoul. If the kicking was gentle and/or infrequent, and I could get paid just as much for it, I'd take the kicks.

Not that I don' t like teaching! It's just Seoul. I mean Korea.

I`m in Canada right now on vacation: fresh air, peace and quiet, grocery stores filled with a wide variety of food that I actually want to eat, relatively no traffic on the roads (hence, stress-free driving), stars that are actually visible at night, dark blue skies (very unlike the pale grayish Korean skies),and respect for other`s personal space. Lets just say getting kicked in the head for twelve months instead of living in Seoul is starting to look mighty attractive.

One year in Seoul vs a kick in the head?

You never know till you try.

Maybe you need a kick in the head for asking?

I'm American, but ditto.
And if I HAD to pick a Korean city, I would pick Taejon.
