Mickey gave us all the details of who, what, how he was going to fire somebody. Asked for advice in about a 4 paragraph posting, and then, got the same response (I love you/ I hate you/ You're dead-on mate!). One thing we learn from history is that history never learns. Truly, history repeats itself with a new stage, new characters, and new faces- with the same measure of loving, loathing, and even devoid of all feeling, as times before. As I said, Austin is as brilliant as the main character on "Silence of the Lambs."

And- believe me- Austin is real- as real as real is.

He knows how to buffer the storm before the storm hits. "Where?"- might you ask- well, there's only one board like this in all of the world with a Korean posting site just buzzing- that's Dave's ESL Cafe. So, should the storm come- the pillars are already in place--Those of empathetic hearts (which I usually naturally am)-- Those getting his side of things FIRST.-- And those who have been made to look bad for identifying the shadow of his wings as they swoop over this board-- And so on and so on.

Like a submarine he waits. All sytems go. Sonar on. A massive presence waiting- watching- almost numinous- never known fully. The itsy bitsy TESLer who just got fired comes. Austin may not launch torpedoes here. But outside of the 0's and 1's there'll be tears if they post. There will be tears.

How'd all the Dave's posters like to complain here with a fellow-devotee watching? You might as well kiss your Korea career good-bye.

Do I know you yet Austin?

The Bottom Line

It never ceases to amaze and amuse me how bosses instruct their teachers to "find me some foreign teachers immediately". I've had that request, its hilarious. They must think they grow on trees! First of all, they don't look after the good teachers they do have, and are willing to put more faith in some completely unknown face on the internet...

Questions have been answered. While my own feelings for SCSA are ambivalent at best, enough of the trash talk.

Like I said, the question has been answered. If you have anything else to say to anybody, do it via PM.
