So I watched stand by me for the first time ever on friday. That bit where river pheonix's character fades into nothing after dying young was very bizzare prediction of what would happen to the actor not long after that.
What other movies have you see this happen in? |

Alfred Hitchcock's Sabotage was played out a bit the other day in London. |

Major League: The Cleveland Indians finally stopped sucking shortly after that movie.
The Chase (for those of you who, rightfully, did not see this movie, it was about a man fleeing the police down the California highway system.) The OJ Simpson chase happened not long after. |

I'll tell you its a bit eerie to watch the last scene of "fight club" after 9/11/2001.
PS did anybody notice that "the tank" in Mr & Mrs Smith wears a "fight club" tee shirt in the motel scene? |

Oh, how could I forget "Demolition Man". In this movie Sylvester Stallone travels into the future, i think around 2020. Back then he and Arnold Schwarzenegger were the two most popular, competing action stars. So Sandra Bullock's character makes a reference to the Schwarzenegger Presidential Library.
Sly: "They made that guy president?"
Sandra: something like "Oh yes, he was so popular that the country amended the Constitution to allow people born outside the US to be eligible for the Presidency, and he won by a landslide"
Now Arnold is America's most important governor, and just such a Constitutional amendment is being proposed! |

Not sure if this is a new development though. |

He's my favorite actor ever since I saw him in Stand By Me......he had one of the most beautiful faces I have ever seen. It was such a shame what happened to him. There is also another movie, My Own Private Idaho, in which his character suffers from narcolepsy. In the last scene, he lays down on the road and starts having seizures.....eerily reminds me of his fatal drug overdose at that nightclub in L.A.
I've even been to the Viper Room (the nightclub) a few times and it's even more eery to see the exact spot where he spent the last moments of his life. |

Michael Jackson played a scarecrow in "The Wiz".
How prophetic was that?

I dunno, but there was that whole thing with one of the GTA games.
I guess after 9/11 they took out the mission where you have to crash a helicopter into a skyscraper. |

Also, in Independence Day, after the aliens blasted New York, you see the twin towers on fire. But just the top of the buildings are blown off.....looks less catastrophic than the real footage |
