Recently my laptop has had trouble booting up. 5 times out of 6, when I turn on the power the fan starts up, but nothing turns up on the screen and it's clear nothing is happening. Eventually the DVD drive pops open. So to use it I have to keep turning it on and off until it boots up correctly.

What is the deal here?
