These are just some random handphone pics from my school. I think it would be interesting for newbees to see different pics of what the schools look like here. Please state what type of school you work for and add a few of your own pics. I work in at a private girls' high school.

Sunset over the school grounds

Some crazy girls after they fed me a burger in home economics class

Toothbrushes stored this way in one classroom.

Girls cleaning out the buckets that sit next to the toilet. In Korea, you must throw your used TP in these because the plumbing can't handle it. Not the most fun job.

Students in my classroom. I hate this style of seating.

Girls enjoying snacks

A good photo illustrating the big, brown contacts -- popular with many girls in Korea.

I work at a public boys' middle school and my students are cuter!

Great pics there Derrek and CLG, makes me want to bust out my camera and take some more pics of my private high school and students.

My school is surrounded by this beautiful garden, cherry trees, peach trees, etc.; arriving at work was never prettier.

My school is a combined high school\middle school and I teach a few classes a week at the middle school. Here they are having an alternative sports day: make your own rubber band airplanes and rockets. Prizes to the best ones.

I dunno if this will work:

there's my school.

This is taken in the dead of winter. Actually in front and around the side of the school there is all forest and a mountain, it's rather nice. I have some more photos that'll I'll put here in a bit.

Is it just me or do these kids seem a lot taller than in previous years? I've only been here 3 years, but my 3rd grade girls seem noticably shorter than my 1st grade girls, on average.

A few random pics from my school's "camp" today. The class sizes are only about 15, which is such a breeze!

Oh, that looks like such fun! Love the KK hats.

I miss teaching Kindy the most (as long as a Korean teacher is there to help them pee) but this age is great, too. Oh, they're so cute. Am I crazy?

Whenever I teach that class I sing to myself the Itchy and Scratchy theme... "they fight and fight and fight and fight..."

The hat was a kind of subtle "kids, if you're wearing a paper hat by the time you're my age, you clearly didn't pay close enough attention in my English class..."

I work at a public ceramic arts high school. Less than 180 students attend the school. There are still 30 students per class, but there are only 6 classes total. It's a small school and we're pretty much like a big family here.

The school at night

The hill leading up to the school.

Yes, we have a norae bang at our school...fun, eh?

One of the many ceramic murals in the halls

Typical classroom scene. Notice the students aren't paying attention Wink

Very country

We cooked today in English camp.

I like my school ^^

Haha! Everyone says that when I tell them about my school.

Yeah, my school can be pretty ideal. But days like today make it unbearable. The kids absolutely pushed me past my limits. Ugh. I wish summer camp would be over already.

But it's good in the respect that I can do ceramics any time I want to and the students are generally VERY different than your typical high school student. That has its disadvantages too though because they're, for the most part, not good students and they really really don't like to study. They avoid it by any means possible, even if it means just walking out of class sometimes or just randomly bubbling in circles on tests.

It sounds like hell to me, because I don't care for art, and sucked at ceramics when I tried it. And students acting that way.. ugh.... reminds me of my hagwon hell.

To the right person, your school would be heaven. But for my personality and talents, it sounds like a hell. Laughing

Nice pics, though!
