After reading A LOT of posting on this website, I have come to realize that there is something, or someone, besides money that keeps you living in Korea. So what is this something, or someone that keeps you here?
Thanks in advance for your responses ,

...and the future Mr. Mokpochica.
I'm leaving in July (he's coming with) and will be sad to say goodbye, but you know I'll be back. |

Only money. Im beginning to see the signing bonus at the end of the tunnel and I think its worth another few months of hell.
I don't mind living in Korea I guess....but the job really sucks. If I could just live here and not work, that would be great...I don't see this happening any time soon hough. |

1. Similar minded friends live here - passion for travel.
2. Travel opportunities - they kick you out of your job & apt once a year!!
3. Korean GALBI! I love meeting and eating galbi, every chance I get!
4. 24-hour nightlife.
5. I seem to have alot of best friends with strong connections to the place as well.
6. NO CAR! No more paying GAS! No more insurance! No more maintence issues! YES!
7. Free single apartment.. no more paying rent!!
8. Everytime I go out, I have a great time, always meet more people, Koreans and Foreigners.
9. I can buy food in the streets of Korea.
10. I can buy cheaper food in the streets then want I'd pay for a TIP of a cheap meal back home!
11. Internet Cafes everywhere you go.
12. Its extremely safe here, wherever you go, no matter the time, I have zero fear or threats.
13. Koreans have a very social atmosphere, and are very social people - constantly meeting each other, going out, drinking, plus a million little things to do, singing rooms, video rooms, PC rooms, etc., etc.
14. Everything is extremely convenient - wherever I live in the city, I can buy any kind of food or snack or do whatever I want regardless of the time.
Etc. |

besides the money? my g/friend. Nice cheap korean food is a nice benefit as well. But where else could I get the same kind of money for the hours I work? That's the best part. |

just one thing - the music - and i don't mean pop, i mean gugak - korean traditional music.
much to the surprise of many koreans (and westerners) i love gugak - have learnt a bit of kayageum, and my ambition is to learn more. difficult to do that anywhere but in korea.
i could get a far better paid job elsewhere. |

That's true. But where else can I get a job because of being from there? |
