In surprise upset Canada won the Dumbest Government of the Year Award at the annual World Stupidity Awards on Friday, beating out the U.S. and North Korea.

Hotel heiress Paris Hilton won in two categories. She was named Stupidist Woman of the Year and was star of The Simple Life, which was named Stupidest Show of the Year.
Conservative columnist Ann Coulter won the award as Stupidest Man of the Year. She beat out Bush, U.S. Senator John Kerry, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and Players Association director Bob Goodenow, and former Ukrainian president Leonid Kuchma.

Why?
No explanation is given in the article.
Probably for not supporting America and that country's policies and priorities.  |

Sure, I'll tack on 4.5 billion for a few extra votes!
Yes, conservatives + separatists + socialists is a coalition that makes perfect sense!
Let's support a prime minister that betrayed the prime minister when he was in power!
No, I don't think he knew anything about a financial scandal even though he was finance minister!
The leader of the Conservatives is boring policy wonk who has everything he plans to do down to every fine detail, so he must have a hidden agenda!
Oh, time to go. I wish I could go into even greater detail, but alas. |
