Is this in Iraq?

If so, are they protesting against terrorism in Iraq, and elsewhere?

Were there any such protests in the Islamic world against terrorist attacks on Jews or Westerners?

No. Was there a thread on Dave's about the bombings in Egypt?

Don't pretend to be simple. 9-11 changed people's attitudes towards terrorism because why? Because it was close.

The whole premise of this thread was to prove that muslims too abhor terrorism. But that is not the whole truth now is it? It is a protest against terrorism in Egypt, due to an attack that killed lots of muslims. Don't try and make out that they are protesting the global jihad that is being carried out in the name of their religion, because they are not.

Everybody abhors terrorism when they realize what it does, and sometimes it takes a bit of proximity to do that. Just take this as a bit of good news. In more developed lands like Egypt terrorism often has the opposite effect intended.
No, that wasn't the premise of this thread.

First of all, no, you're jumping to conclusions about Mith's intentions.

Secondly, if no muslims would have died, there still would have been a protest (assuming it would have been the same location). I bet a lot of those protestors did it simply because they know that tourism will take a big hit there now, and consequently they're going to lose their jobs.

Yeah, you can be a cynic about it, but let's be serious: how many protests in the West are about anything foreign that is loosely connected to it?

Yeah, nice post mithridates. Smile I misjudged you before.

Will there be protests in the West about the bombing in Egypt..?

Egypt has been providing support against terrorists from the beginning. Actually, they've been accused of vigorous interigations of suspected terrorists.
