I always listen to Tool when I am angry or having a particularly s***y day.
Rage works as well.

As mentionned, Rage Against the Machine... Tool works, too... Cheesy old metal is only gonna annoy you and piss you off even more... Select songs from the Dropkick Murphys - that'll work too...

The singer/rapper from rage against the machine doesn't do it for me at all. Too high-pitched and whiny sounding. Reminds me of a kid screaming over not getting his milk and cookies.

Machine Head's "The Burning Red" is a masterpiece of rage. The singer is on the verge of passing out in places. He doesn't pace himself at all, and goes full throttle from start to finish.

Black Flag's albums are, as Henry Rollins puts it, a soundtrack for a full-scale riot. It's sloppy, but put it on and you'll soon find yourself clenching your fists and gritting your teeth.

Original Gangster by Ice-T is brilliant, and I'm not a rap fan. He's influenced by metal and hardcore, and it shines through on that album. In his later stuff, you can tell he's just being angry for show, but on O.G it's very, very real.

But the angriest, most violent music ever created is "Weight" by Rollins Band. The riffs and beats are the musical equilavent of fists pounding, and whatever kind of anger you're feeling, at some point the lyrics are bound to express it perfectly.

My workout tape (even though I've switched to MD these days) is still the best mix I ever made for pure anger, and it's about 12 years old. As such, bands of the day included:

Cardio side:

Bad Brains-"Soul Craft"
Skunk Anansie-"Yes, It's F***ing Political"
Body Count-"There Goes The Neighbourhood"
Rollins Band-"Another Life"
Helmet-"Unsung"
D.O.A.-"F*** You"
Plasmatics-"Tight Black Pants"
Minstry-"Jesus Built My Hotrod"
Rollins Band-"Hard"
Sex Pistols-"EMI"
Manic Street Preachers-"You Love Us"
The Jesus And Mary Chain-"Surfin' USA"

Then the sprinting/weights side:

Morrissey-"The Operation"
Kiss-"Makin' Love" (Alive II version)
Danzig-"Left Hand Black"
Billy Idol-"Man For All Seasons"
Curve-"Unreadable Communication"
Soundgarden-"Hands All Over"
Rollins Band-"Love Song"
Rollins Band-"Turned Inside Out"

It's equally good to rank your neighbour at high decibals when the kids start screaming.

Sort of related:

I find Led Zepplin's When the Levee Breaks to be very therapeutic when suffering from constipation.

Angry music? Music based on aggression, frustration and general disappointment with society? Who woulda thunk it?

this 1 does it for me everytime:

helter skelter - The Beatles Cool

when i get to the bottom i go back to the top of the slide
where i stop and i turn and i go for a ride
till i get to the bottom and i see you again.

do you, don't you want me to love you
i'm coming down fast but i'm miles above you
tell me tell me tell me come on tell me the answer
you may be a lover but you ain't no dancer.

helter skelter helter skelter
helter skelter.

will you, won't you want me to make you
i'm coming down fast but don't let me break you
tell me tell me tell me the answer
you may be a lover but you ain't no dancer.

look out helter skelter helter skelter
helter skelter

look out, cause here she comes.

when i get to the bottom i go back to the top of the slide
and i stop and i turn and i go for a ride
and i get to the bottom and i see you again

well do you, don't you want me to make you
i'm coming down fast but don't let me break you
tell me tell me tell me the answer
you may be a lover but you ain't no dancer.

look out helter skelter helter skelter
helter skelter
look out helter skelter
she's coming down fast
yes she is
yes she is.

i've got blisters on my fingers. Cool

Haa Now I show my noble age and good taste. All that Death Metal yelping and silliness is above a Toad of loftier refinements.

O Fortuna Carmina Burana. My very very favorite mad Charge attack song - put this on your MP3 player and rush the enemy on your Destier.

Richard Wagner Ride of the Valkyries - everybody knows this one.

Mozart The Magic Flute / Requiem - You would not think a high pitched opera lady could sound so distraught.

The Alarm 68 Guns / Shout to the Devil - "And the Big Duke Star in Death still fighting off the Hounds of Hell." I always thought this was about John Wayne...

How about Atari Teenage Riot and the DHR bands? That's pure anger for the ears, love it! God Hates Us All is a terrific Slayer album, too. Songs for the Deaf by Queens of the Stone Age is a real rocker too, as is EXTRMNATR by Primal Scream. And Tapestry by Carole "Satan" King.
