Anyone using this to make free internet calls? (to other Skypers) It's from the same 2 guys who brought us Kazaa. They're idea is to make paying for phone calls anywhere in the world a thing of the past.
So far they're at 150,000 downloads a day.

Yes, I use it to talk to friends all over the world. Even my mother has never suspected I'm not calling from a real phone. I can call friends with computers for free, and friends with real phones for something like 2.5 euro cents per minute. Calling from the US to Taiwan and Singapore last year, the quality was excellent and there was almost no lag. |

I've been using Skype Out to call home for about a year, but have been using Msn Messenger to talk to most of my online friends. I was at their website yesterday and see they now have Skype In. You can get a phone number in a country of your choice (more countries coming) so your friends without computers (or the technologically challenged) can call you directly to your computer from their landline. Pretty cool. Didn't check what it costs, though.
Edit: Skype In goes for 30 Euros for a year, voice mail included. |

SKYPE is da bomb. I figured it has saved me about 300k won in 4 months. It has been bad reception maybe 3 or 4 times and al it takes is a redial to fix that. Get it-use it and you'll love it. |

I concur with Poker Player.
I've been using it for about a year, and have been using SkypeIn about 3 months. Pretty happy with it |

It works great but their terms of service are shit. I'm working on a way to encrypt my phone calls independently of Skpye's encryption. |
