I'm trying to track down info on train times for a vacation a friend and I are planning to take to Donghae later this month. Basically we want to leave Seoul on a thursday morning and return saturday morning. The idiotic Korail site has a very unhelpful page that keeps telling me that no trains exist on this route. Can someone advise of another site that might let me find out how this journey can be completed? Thanks in advance.

You can do it but it's a long haul involving changing twice as far as I can remember. Express bus is waaaaaaay faster and you even get to stop for a pee. It took about 3 hours from Seoul Express Bus Terminal and there are several buses a day.
