Can't stand it!! My coworker who sits across from me does it all the time. I so want to tear that gum out of her mouth and punch her in the face.

On the bus one time these two college girls were cracking up a storm right behind me.

I introduced myself and asked if they spoke English.
One did and I asked them why they crack/pop thier gum like a couple of pigs Didnt hear another pop/crack for the rest of the trip.

So I am on the train, late at night (last year) and this old azzuma 5 seats up keeps popping her gum, popping, popping, popping. We are the only two on the train. I stick 3 pieces of gum in my mouth, and after a while I make a HUGE popping sound, just flatten the gum into a circle, put it in FRONT of your teeth. then.......suck air until it EXPLODES! I mean I can make it LOUD, and I can do it over, and over, and over. She kept looking at me, and she finally called the attendent to make me stop

I explained to the attendent (a cute girl) that she was popping her gum as well, and then she told the old lady and the old lady turned around and smiled. She was quiet after that!

Oh, and i should include, noodle slurpers << is that with one "p" or two??

Anyway, ALL of these 3 are equal in my books as annoying as hell! Gotts love these people who say "its our culture" when eating noodles. Sure, you have to slurp a little, but not so much that people seem to be competing to be the loudest!
