Gday,

Im wondering if anyone who has lived in Korea and moved back to Canada could comment on the prices of appliances (specifically refrigerators, washing machines) in each country.
Mrs. Cheney and I have been trying to do some comparisons on the internet, but surprise, surprise, the Canadian retail websites suck rhino. When we do move back, were planning on filling a huge container and sending our stuff by ship, so I want to know if it would be more cost-effective to buy good stuff here and pay to have it shipped, versus waiting and buying stuff there.

Thanks, in advance.

TMT

I agree, transformers are just gonna be another problem, plus a/s and such, buy in Canada. When you have a problem, you can go and complain in English!!!

I'm convinced too that Korea makes two models: a quality export model and a "ha ha sucker koreans you have to live here and buy this crap!" model. I swear every Korean appliance I buy/own here breaks down after 3 months.
