1. Double check what you packed for hobbies you can do alone. Make sure you brought what you will need.
2. Stay up all night these last two nights at home. Sleep during the day. Start compensating for jet lag. |

don't expect too much from your employer
Korean food generally tastes much better than it looks or smells, better to just jump in with both feet
try not to freak out in the first 2 weeks because everything is so weird, try not to get depressed at the dreaded 3 month mark (everyone seems to)
try not to generalise about Korea/ Koreans too much
read as many books about the country/culture as you can
take everything you read on this message board with a big, big pinch of salt
have a blinder |

Ninjamonkey,
Bring your own bed sheets, the sheets your employer provide R not what U're probably used to in Canada.
It'd be a good idea to bring a gift for your director and/or others U've been in contact with, I don't suggest the typical maple syrup, but a token from your city. It doesn't matter if they like it or not, a gift will show your respect and appreciation to them.
I'd suggest buying the Lonely Planet Korean Phrasebook, it will help U to get by when U arrive.
One more thing, exchange your currency when U arrive at Incheon, the exchange rate is better here in Korea than it is in Canada.
PM me if U have any other questions.
