a few that ive seen recently...
on the front it had a picture of a giant pistol and on the back it said in huge letters "Shot your wad on me!"
on the back "if it is good for dog, it is good for me."
across the chest on a girl with huge breasts "T I T S!"
one of my kindergarden students (shes like 4 or 5) wore a shirt one day that said "PORNSTAR!" on the front.
best t-shirt ever.....saw one that said "I love Wide Open Beavers" or something like that with a picture of a big furry smily beaver on the back. I think that the name of a japanese punk band... |

Koreans like the Ramones because their hair looks just like so many Koreans' hair. |

I love wacky Konglish shirts.
I saw a student of a coworker wearing a 'Just Do Me' T-shirt! Pretty weird as this girl was about 9 years old! Funny but a little disturbing. I love the fact that all those Ajummas are really getting into the Ramones, I'd have thought a bit of 'Trot' would be more their style. The 'world without strangers' ones are everywhere.
Best weird T-shirt one I've seen recently was a guy who was wearing a T with a illustration of an old style motorbike covered in dirt and the slogan underneath was 'I wish my boyfriend was as dirty as my motorcycle'! He wasn't a kid and I wonder if he really knew what his shirt meant, usually as another poster noted the weirdest ones are always in girls sizes, this guy was a typical height weight for a twenty something Korean bloke. I thought there were no homosexuals in Korea till I saw that one. Gay bikers on Konglish?
I want to pick up some of these weird shirts before my break in October, I think some of them would make fantastic presents for friends and family. Is Dongdaemun the best bet for picking up some of these strange cultural artifacts? |

For a while in Taiwan kids were wearing shirts with "Heroin Heroin Heroin" plastered all over them. Typical Taiwanese wannabes, none of them knew where to actually score the stuff.
I'm still filled with resentment to this very day. |

My favorite is:
"Ape shall never kill Ape. A bathing Ape." |
actually bathing ape (bape) clothing is a japanese company. they're stuff is huge in japan and getting pretty big in north america. hip-hop/urban streetwear style. expensive as hell and there are alot of knockoffs around. most of they're slogans are quotes from planet of the apes.
EDIT: actually after posting this i went hunting for some bape shirts on ebay and came across this bargain(!): http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=15687&item=8315675605&rd=1 |
Would you mind repeating what you wrote in English?
Thanks. |

At E-mart, I recently saw a rather conservative mother of two with a shirt that said: "I love head."
Well, good for you, ajuma! |

I came by my new school today to drop off some docs, and in the teachers lounge one of my future Canadian co-workers came in, laughing. Said we had to come to her class to see this kid's t-shirt. It said:
"Don't turn on the radio or you may become HOMOSEXUAL"
Lol. Homosexual was even in big block letters like that. |

That's a good one. I really want to get a job with the people who make these T-shirts, it would be like being an inventor or something and I love to exercise my creativity. It would also be a challeging career in Korea trying to come up with even wackier slogans than the people doing it now. I think it would be hard work.
We should have a contest to see who can come up with their own idea of the wackiest T slogan. |

Saw a girl, with a big chest, wearing a shirt that said "I see you've met the twins" across the front. Doubt she got the humor.
Girl in Kyobo wearing a shirt that read, "She comes everywhere."
In Japan: Two girls wearing matching shirts that read, "Shocker: For Soldiers, Prostitutes and Horror Punks." |
