Haha, I've had my computer switched to the Dvorak keyboard the past week and only went back to Qwerty when I really had something long to say. I've mostly gotten the hang of it now so that's why I'm writing this post. Of course I'm using it right now to type and I'm still slower so I haven't been able to verify that this one's better yet. |

Sage monkey - didn't you write that post about a year ago about how you would get rid of those annoying pornographic cards that turn up on the cars at night? Or something like that. Maybe it was confronting the people who put them up. I don't remember the details but I liked the post and I've been meaning to ask you about it ever since. |

I'd love to get an actual dvorak keyboard. I'm pretty good with qwerty, mind you. 70 wpm. The qwerty keyboard as we all know was designed to slow down typists to a level where they mechanical keys could keep up. Typewriters seem to be museum pieces these days. But looking at that picture on the wiki site... I don't like where the M is. |

You don't like how the m is in the same place? You can just set up the keyboard on Control Panel. Mine turns to Dvorak now when I push ctrl+shift+1. |

Dvorak keyboards just don't seem practical.

Wait, I was talking about the right hand keyboard version. The M is up on the number row. Ugg. The simplfied one seems decent. |

Well, here's the one that gets used when you select it on Windows. It's a little bit weird how your brain refuses it at first, then tries to merge the two systems inside your head, and then finally realizes that they need to be independent of one another.

Update: Great keyboard. I'm at about half my former qwerty speed now, which was around 80wpm. They were right about it taking about a month though. I guess that's how long it takes for muscle memory to really sink in. |
