I like this line:

It's truly amazing: the MSM want to hold Sheehan's feet to the fire on statements she's denied making about Israel while allowing Dick "last throes" Cheney, Condi "mushroom cloud" Rice, George "slam dunk" Tenet, Alberto "quaint" Gonzalez, and George "Mission Accomplished" Bush a free pass. |
But hold on a second, what is the MSM? Mass...S....Media? I hope it's not a scary acronym.
Edit: Now you can see the vp's name.

Again, in fairness, character assassination is not a Rove/GOP/ Conservative exclusive tactic. Liberals/Democrats/Progressives/whoever are also quite adept at using this approach.
|
And I complain about it just the same when they do it.
It seems to me a true conservative would be just as disturbed by charges of fraud in the White House as anyone else. In fact, I don't see why it's become a liberal/conservative issue at all. |

I'm not sure, but I think it might be traced back to the Presidential elections in 2004. |

Wouldn't that stand for mainstream media? |

I think that most Americans believe that Bush exagerated , but on the other hand most Americans think there are more important issues than that.
If Iraq turns out ok , then the vast majority of Americans will be ok with Bush exaggerating the danger that Iraq posed. |

Oh. Are you allowed to do that when making an acronym? At least it wasn't a scary one. |

Let's see what this guy thinks:

SCHEUER: No, maam. The war in Iraq has broken the back of our counterterrorism effort. Im not an expert on the threat posed by Saddam Hussein, but the invasion of Iraq has made sure this war will last decades ahead and it has transferred bin Laden and al Qaeda from being man and an organization into being a philosophy and a movement. Weve really made sure that the war against us is going to be a long and very bloody one. Iraq was an absolutely disastrous decision. |

I thought it was pretty obvious that he was referring to Iraq.
As for David Duke, there are many other issues which he is in agreement with the neo-cons on. So what? |
Many other issues? Really? Care to list them since you seem to be an expert on this subject. |

As opposed to 70,000 training in Al Qaida camps during the 1990s? That was a great status quo. |

1) There was no Al Qaeda presence in Iraq prior to the US invasion (other than in semi-autonomous Kurdistan), there is a very large Al Qaeda presence there now.
2) Al Qaeda and the Ba'athists were deadly enemies, now they are allies.
3) Thus, invading Iraq made Al Qaeda stronger.
to say nothing of the propaganda victory handed to bin laden on a silver platter... |

Al Qaida and the Bathists were not deadly enemies.
I agree that invading Iraq could gotten some to join AlQaida , but the situation was pretty bad before and Al Qaida before Iraq was pretty strong.
If the mideast stayed the way it was then the US would always be under threat.
but here is my point there would be no Al Qaida if mideast regimes crack down on Al Qadia.
Iraq could put the US in a position to force mideast regimes to crack down on Al Qaida. |

Al-Qaeda and Hussein's Iraq were analogous to you and Bobster, I believe. Kind of on the same side in a came from the same region of the world kind of way, contacted each other (because each thought the other was doing things all wrong), and only agreed on the broadest of concepts (we hate the us vs we don't like terrorism on us soil for you and Bobster). |
