I am sure that some of the Christian US right wing also do not condone it. Or am I wrong? |

Except that serial killers target innocents.
While the US has to maintain a higher standard and so the US ought not to do what those pictures show.
But would I be sorry that a Bathist or Al Qaida fighter had their human rights violated - No.
I am sorry that the US was involved , I don't want the US to be involved in anyway, but I am not upset if an Al Qaida fighter or a Bathist suffers.
I am sorry the US did it. I am more sorry the US was caught and I am not at all sorry that any insurgents or Al Qaida fighters suffered.
Of course anyone who is really against torture would want all the Bathist , Khomeni lovers and Bin Laden followers out of the world as soon as possible. Gettng rid of them would stop more torture than anything else. |

Actually I do believe US senator Jesse Helms called for as much recently. I believe during the whole "Americans should not be subject to trials at the world court for war crimes but we don't mind if brown people are put on trial" debate, Helms demanded congress pass a law that basically said if an American was ever put on trial before the world court, it would automatically trigger a law compelling the US government to invade The Hague. |

The international court would become a travesty and a disgrace like the UN Human rights commission is. The US would also be subjected to an endless onslaught of frivolous politically motivated prosecutions from 3rd world dictatorships and left wing activists
Ir is also unlikely that judges who hailed from 3rd world police states would not be allowed to vote their conscience. |
