They are well-known for country music and really cheap beer.

Heard that there is some anniversary from being open for 20-25 plus years (or something like that).. with some free food and such to those who stop by tomorrow night (Tuesday).

Anyone going?

That is a bar frequented by Yankee nationalists - have fun, especially at midnight!

Actually at midnight those guys are saluting the confederate flag. So i guess they should be called rebels instead of yankees.

Yeah, definetely a 100% southern bar.

I'm a northern 'yankee'.. and a noticeable one at that! - and they DO notice. No boots, cowboy hat, wranglers and that square dancing blows my mind sometimes. Confused Definetely not the kind of place to be going off on how you are a Blue state or that Canadian politics are amazing. But I've never noticed any hostility or agression by any means, you'll just stand out a little bit among the atmosphere of the place.

I like that the beer is really cheap.. and the waitresses are friendly. Country music, cheap beer and friendly waitresses is also always an uncommon phenemenom enough in Korea.. that you gotta go just for that. At least I do for the combination. It has atmosphere in abundance.

Depends on what time you're going. I could swing in after work for a beer or something, but I'm not very fond of country music and line-dancing.

I'm no Itaewon expert...where is this place exactly? I'm from a Blue State but I like country music and I'd like to check it out.

Is "rebel" a nineteenth century word for a freedom fighter?

The South wasn't really fighting for freedom, especially not the freedom of the slaves.

I saw this place as I was being brought to Polly's kettle. I just assumed it was a country-themed hooker bar.

Try being a large, gay, black muslim such as myself and sitting down for a beer. Wink

Actually, I have had beers there twice. The place was nearly empty. Pretty amazing a bar can stay in business on that hill these days.
