however, i do admire gopher for his strong and diplomatic stance on the issues at hand..
just don't stop... keep it going.. nothing like a night at home with a few beers and reading your dribble for a good laugh..  |

I have corresponded slightly with NM and therefore I am sure he is not myself, since in most cases that doesn't involve supernatural agencies. It is seldom possible to find documentation of this kind that indicate a separation of one personality from another. I don't think supernatural agencies like that exist. If you wish to suppose it, it is one your head, not mine or anyone else's.
You've been accused of the crime of newbeism, and the proof is that you have shown yourself quite unaware of the several and significant ways NM and I have differed in our opinions.
You might have been joking about this, Gopher, and if so I'll laugh along with you, if that is the case - you are, of course, too new in these parts to be able to make that claim unless you are a sock for another previous who has more info than you would have naturally received in a couple of short months.
But then, maybe I am kidding around as well.
No, we understand that you wish to taint an opponent by association with a long-time poster (myself) who sports a peace sign as an avatar ... you are unaware of both who the other fellow is and who I am - you ignore something I have stated several times, which is that the avatar is not me. I amuse myself by wearing it, mostly by watching the folk come out in attack while thinking the symbol tells them something about me.
You might be surprised. I have never denigrated or disapproved of a single American military action prior to Vietnam - and every human being alive knows in their heart of hearts that this one was a wrong one, and most of the ones thereafter ... as we say in Korea, "same-same."

I like to drink, and people have denigrated my opinions because I don't avoid saying so.
Just might save this thread as an example of someone so despererate for applause that he congratulates someone else for loving him only because the spirit of love is beaming strong and hard from the bottle of spirits ...
I make most of my best posts here when I'm in my cups, but most people who agree with me are stone cold sober when they say so.
That might be the salient difference between us, Gopher.

Have a beer, anyway. It's on me. You could do worse than making a friend out of an enemy - you've studied history, so you know that it takes decades or more between nations, and you have the chance to do so (even just virtually) just by reaching your arm and popping the top off.
Joo Rhipp over there has had a standing invitation to a pochang macha, but unfortunately he is so devoted to his ideology that he will never deign to meet any of the people he attacks so famously - no, not EVEN if his enemies are buying the drinks and anju.
He's far more "pure" than I am. I'll sit down with the worst hate-mongering bigoted war-lover around here for an evening of free libation ... for a little while, at least.
Well, except for bigverne over there. He'd need to spring for the large bottle of 18-year Johnnie Walker at pricey Abkugeong watering hole to get me listen to him for even an hour ... hey, I may be easy, but i sure ain't cheap.
In company like that, you are getting off easy when I ask you to pop the top off a can of Bud ... it's just one beer, how can it hurt?

You recently change your avatar to a non-white man doing martial arts, then confess, while admitting it is embarassing, to having no liquor in the house ... yes, even though I myself a veteran of the Phil Donohue Era, and in California no less, find this puzzling, and the reasons for the lack of alcohol in your house require explanation.
