forget about getting work here without a degree. This aint Thailand or China from what I've heard where you can get a job with a fake degree.
Nobody will give you a legal job without a legitimate BA/BS degree immigration will check the validity of the degree, they have been on the warpath lately on this point.
You can get a job at some of the shadier hogwons without a degree but they are ones who will likely shaft you on earnings or call immigration if they don't like you amongst other things. You could also try and get privates but again the risk is too great. In either case if you get caught by immigration the fine is substantial and you will 1) be put in jail until you or somebody comes up with the fine and 2) you will be deported and not allowed back into the country even on a tourist visa for several years
its not worth it to even try coming here to teach without a degree |

some of the people who post on this forum are soooooooooooooooooooooo pessimistic.....
yeah, fair enough and some good points rudy. but what about the hundreds of people in korea who are sucessfully working illegally? and probably earning a whole lot more teaching privates than working in a sh*tti little hagwon.
don't come to korea without a degree?!? the people who do work illegally (or trying to as the op is obviously trying to do) are quite aware of the risks. they don't need to be told the risks rudy. how about some constructive advice and an answer to the question that the op asked instead of continuing negativity? oh, and before you reply back why haven't i answered the question - the op is a very close friend of mine and i have given all the advice i can in person. |
