Well, I just got back from the meeting...There were about a hundred native English teachers (mostly -if not all- high school) and reportedly an equal number of Korean English teachers. Most of it was pretty boring and tedious because Korean was spoken more often than not. The amusing video they used to demonstrate "team teaching" was actually of two Korean women teachers - at least one of which had studied extensively in England from the sound of her accent...Teachers signed up for their "model" classes scheduled throughout October and November with the option of having them videotaped (as well as personally monitored...)

I just found out from a friend who went to the meeting that the team teaching video was my co-teacher... and me Embarassed ~I had no idea..!
Just so you know, I'm not Korean and have never been to England - just a girl born and bred in lil ol' NZ...

Anyway, I'm sorry you guys had to sit through that, but sure am glad I wasn't there to sit through it too! Wink

I already told them that it is not in my contract to do this. They said it falled under the "other activities related to teaching." but i think that is BS. does anyone else feel the same way? the way I see it, I am paid to teach middle school kids, not to teach other teachers how to teach. Usually managers and people that get paid twice my rate do training. I am just being stubborn, or do other people feel the same way?
