But did you catch the sneak peak? ( it's just a commercial, but it's a decent tease)

Im sorry, but I saw a few episodes of it and thought it was one of the worst written shows on television. The writers were LOST; If the want to make a show about a drama, horror, action, or sci-fi about people on an island thats fine. But, dont just ramble between episodes with ridiculous plot twist and teasers. The stories of the casts lifes before the crashed was fine, but the need to drop all the stupid shit.

Thats just my feelings. I know many people love it, including my parents. But I cant see why.

Anyone else feel the same way?

With the exception of the Simpsons and many other Fox sunday night shows, it's one of the few shows on network TV that doesn't hit you with the whole plot and story line in the first five minutes, parading it before brain dead viewers with the subtleties of a Super Bowl half time show.

It may not be the best ever TV, but considering the alternatives on the TV dial, reality shows and black family sit coms that won't scare off white viewers, it's the lesser of evils. Babylon 5 probably did it better, the idea that TV viewers are not stupid, can remember plot lines from the week before, characters and sub plots from 2 months previous. I appreciate a show that doesn't assume TV viewers have no memory of last weeks episode, thereby allowing the Harts of Hart to Hart to basically witness each week the murder of their best friend and never once question why all their best friends get murdered...

Can you suggest a better TV show currently on the dial (Fox sunday excepted)?

If you watch it from the verybeginning, I think your opinion of the show would change. I love how the story is written and that each episode shows new insight into each character's lives from the past. I still think Hurley is the best character with the best past. Especially the episode when he is listening to his cd player and the batteries die on him. That made me laugh so hard. Laughing

Everyone hold your horses here.
I need some clarity.

According to afnkorea.net ,

AFN Spectrum is running the Pilot of LOST (season one) at 7pm, friday the 9th.

AFN Korea, on the other hand, is starting SURVIVOR- (Guatemala: The Maya Empire) at 8pm friday.

I enjoyed Survivor till I started watching Lost (actors doing a better job of surviving, rather then survivors trying to act Smile

Can someone confirm Lost? I have not seen the promos. Episode 2? Are you sure? In Korea?

Hey, everyone's entitled to their opinion. "One man's meat is another man's poison" and all that jazz. But it's certainly one of the more original shows out there, injecting a bit of mystery and uncertainty into a world of boring, predictable television. I, for one, am looking forward to the new season.

In reply to those wanting something concrete on dates/times....
From the official ABC website:Get ready for the season premiere of Lost on Wednesday, September 21 at 9/8c!

I just looked it up, and it looks like the army boys (and the rest of us) get American football tonight. Evil or Very Mad

I looked a little further, and I found that Survivor starts at 8 PM next week.
