I saw a bit in the newspaper a few weeks back that cowboy boots are going to replace Ugg boots as the next big thing. Those who lived through the Toronto Queen street cowboy/miniskirt fad will greet this fad with as much enthusiasm as someone who lived during the '70s will greet the return of bell bottoms...

I've not actually noticed many women putting together this look but maybe when the weather turns a bit colder...
Brace yourself. |

Have seen it a lot. It is recycled from a few years back. Looks a bit ugly, I think it doesn't really match some of the cute and clean lined skirts some of the girls are wearing, would go better with a worn in short jean number. Then again, I am not one to complain about short skirts being worn. |

Ugg boots made them look like Hobbits.
Cowboy boots will make them look like a hooker from Tulsa...
I think they should just stick with the high heels, but maybe I'm just too conservative?? |

yeah, i was dragged into a shoe shop with a girl and she was saying that cowboy boots are about to break out. (sigh)
but if you hate wacky bizarro fashion, just be thankful you're not in japan. |

Everything's come full circle. The cowboy boots/mini-skirt thing was all the rage in Hongdae, Sinchon and Ewha when I first came here 8 years ago. |

Yep. And cowboy boots still look stupid (unless they're actually on somebody who rides horses). |

A girl (with the right body) looks great in cowboy boots and jeans. With a skirt, though, it looks clunky and ridiculous. |

By the way, mindmetoo, when are you going to buy that girl of yours a new skirt?
Um... maybe a shorter one, for example? |

People! People! You seem to be missing the finer points of this cowboy boots trend!! The boots are designed to be much more feminine so sleeker front and higher heels! Like Jessica Simpson (Dukes..), it looks even better with hotpants but not evryone can pull that (derrier)off so minis are the next best thing (much more forgiving). I for one think those boots are great! So please, don't knock it 'til your girlfriends have tried it. |
