I'm trying to figure this out.
I saw this tshirt on the subway (line 2) a few weeks back. I just didn't compute. Someone had a photo of it in his flickr account, which I stole. Googling for this tshirt I discover the art comes from some limited edition tshirt made by some University of Washington student/cartoonist:

The Korean silk screener spelt moustache wrong. Hrm. But what are the odds some guy in WA makes a tshirt for 100 friends who read his online comic and the art work gets turned into a tshirt in Korea? Aboutchu seems to be some Korean clothing company. |

I forwarded the comic author a photo of the tshirt being sold in Korea, asking him how his art work made it onto a tshirt half way around the world. He was rather nonplussed (1):

This is indeed interesting, thanks for bringing it to my attention. How
did you find out about this?
I'm not entirely sure what to do about this, if anything. We're just
about to reintroduce the shirt, too. |
I had to reply Koreans stealing any idea not locked down by a team of international IP lawyers is pretty much the norm here in the Land of the Morning Phlegm Spitters.

(1) Contrary to how people use this word, "nonplussed" does not in fact mean "not surprised" or "not impressed". It actually means the exact opposite:
1. To put at a loss as to what to think, say, or do; bewilder. |
